All that's left is trimming the stray threads, ironing out the wrinkles, handsewing on the tag, and wrapping her up.

I love this quilt so much. It's really hard to give this one away.

Awesome. I love the colors. I tend to gravitate toward neutral and earth tones. That would look perfect on my bed...

After my first attempt at quilting, I am utterly amazed that you were able to make this. wow, seriously, wow. It's beautiful.

Well, this is about two dozen quilts in... believe me, my first attempts were not perfect, either. Besides, I think that is totally cute and inventive... I bet the baby loves it.

This one took a ton, a ton, a TON of time to piece and was very boring. I LOVE the result, though. Thanks!

I think it would be less satisying to sell it than it would be to give it as a gift to a loved one. It's hard to get your money's worth on a quilt... those who actually understand what they're worth are usually quilters themselves!

Thanks for the compliments. :)

How did you quilt it? It doesn't look tied, it looks like you may have done it by... machine? I know that quilting by hand would have taken far too long.

It's machine quilted in horizontal lines about 1-3 inches apart. I wasn't particular about keeping the lines perfectly straight, which helped the process go so much quicker. I haven't done much hand quilting... I have a quilt on the go that I am planning to do all by hand, including the piecing, but that won't be done for forty years. It's a good project to take on the go, though.

You do, too. Yesterday I sang "I Kissed A Girl (And I Liked It)" in Girl's voice, and then I on the next chorus I sang "I kissed Girl - and I it was corney" in The Orbisons' voice, and I laughed so hard by myself and thought about how we would have totally died laughing together if you were here. I really miss you.

Gorgeous. You are crazy talented and I think if you can muster up enough focus and determination to finish a quilt like this you could pretty much do anything you set your mind to do. Like burn buildings down with your eyes.

Honestly, I am not a person who generally gives a toss over quiltery. But this looks like a seriously labor-intensive work of love. It's pretty impressive.
